A purpose-built facility to encourage the use of Irish has been opened in Galway. It marks the latest stage in an ongoing effort to promote the language in the western suburbs of the city.

FET Irish Language Provision. The centre is located in Áras Bhréanainn, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh in the West Kerry Gaeltacht and was established in 2020. The Corca Dhuibhne or West Kerry Gaeltacht is one of two Gaeltacht areas served by Kerry Education and Training Board. The focus is on developing and providing accredited and non -accredited The fee for an adult dyslexia assessment is €300.00; and the fee for an adult dyscalculia assessment is €550. (Adult dyslexia assessments are quicker and less complex, hence the reduced fee.) All assessments include one year's complimentary membership of the DAI. A reduced fee rate may be available for people on social welfare or low incomes. Oideas Gael - Irish Language and Culture courses. Oideas Gael language courses are specially designed to cater for the needs of adults at all learning stages, including those who are more advanced but in need of practice.
